White-Collar Criminal & Government Enforcement Defense

We represent targets, subjects and witnesses of Government investigations and prosecutions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, federal prosecutors in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Internal Revenue Service, the New York State Office of the Attorney General, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and the New York City Department of Investigation. We also represent clients in connection with internal investigations, and formal and informal investigations and enforcement actions conducted by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).

We  handle cases involving allegations of insider trading; health care fraud; mail and wire fraud; perjury; official and government misconduct; falsifying business records; currency transaction and cash reporting violations; antitrust violations; U.S. economic sanctions violations; and criminal tax matters.

Business Litigation

We represent companies and individuals in a variety of business disputes in New York state and federal courts, as well as FINRA arbitrations. We have experience with contract, partnership, real estate, and intellectual property disputes; civil RICO claims (asserted pursuant to the federal Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organization Act); and claims involving breach of fiduciary duties, civil forfeiture, art fraud, accounting fraud, negligence, and defamation. We also represent individuals in employment related matters such as internal investigations, review and negotiation of employment, separation, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements; and assessment, negotiation and litigation of employment discrimination claims.
